Santa Maria Police looking for armed robber

Officers in Santa Maria are looking for a man accused of robbing a business with a handgun Tuesday evening.

Police say the robbery happened before 7 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Broadway.

They say the man brandished a gun at the clerk and demanded cash.

He took off before officers were able to catch him.

The suspect is decribed as a hispanic male wearing dark clothing.

The victim was not injured.
