As Super Bowl 47 approaches some retailers said Wednesday there's a way to score before the big game.
"We've got balloons so far and on Thursday the paper plates will arrive," said Ed Dutton, a sales associate at Let's Party.
Brendon Robertson and his girlfriend were checking off their list for their Super Bowl Sunday party Wednesday afternoon. The first stop they made was at Let's Party in San Luis Obispo.
"We are looking for food, decorations and plates," said Robertson.
Finding 49ers and Ravens flair has been a challenge for some shoppers on the Central Coast.
"Merchandise is going out of the store like crazy," said Junior Rangel, a sales associate at Sports Forum in downtown San Luis Obispo.
Shopping for the big game can be a win-win because some Super Bowl deals rival Black Friday price tags.
"Every single one of our TVs is on sale," said Brittany Roach, a team leader at Target. "A 46" Samsung flat-screen TV is a $230 savings."
When it comes to watching the game, if the best seat in the house is your living room sofa, there are also some deals.
"We have up to a 50 percent discount on select items and store wide we have a 20 percent discount," said Gundug Yilmaz, who works at Couch Potato, which has numerous locations on the Central Coast.
And of course one of the biggest ways to save is when you're shopping for food, so look for coupons.
Brenden and his girlfriend have already checked off appetizers for game day and their living room is ready too.
"Got the 52" TV and just got cable installed yesterday," said Robertson.
If you are not going to a party or hosting one yourself there are other options. Mother's Tavern is having a Super Bowl Sunday party with 8 flat screen TVs and table-gating packages. Marisol at the Cliffs is also having a Super Bowl party with drink specials, BBQ ribs and wings. For wine lovers head to the Wine Shed where you'll find deals on wines, craft brews, pizzas and complimentary Frito boats all game long! If you know of a great party post it to our Facebook page.
