San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies and other law enforcement agencies are still searching for a missing 12-year-old girl in rural Arroyo Grande.

Mikayla Andersen disappeared after leaving Paulding Middle School Thursday afternoon. She was supposed to be riding a horse on her grandmother's property. At 5:50 p.m., deputies found the horse, but not Mikayla. The Sheriff's Office is using K9 units and a helicopter in the search, which is taking place in the 8200 block of Huasna Road.

Mikayla is described as white, 5'3", 105 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a reddish-blue flannel shirt with a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. If you have any information on her whereabouts, call the Sheriff's Office at 781-4550.
