See your home turf on big screen with SLO Film Fest

The fun of watching the Central Coast featured on the big screen continues this week. The San Luis Obispo County Film Festival is putting on "SLO County on the Silver Screen" this Fall with movies "made in SLO County" coming to local theatres.

This Wednesday, October 30th at the Cambria Vets Hall, it's ARACHNOPHOBIA. The movie starts at 7:00 p.m. The 1990 comedy/thriller was shot almost entirely in Cambria. Spider specialist Steven Kutcher will be thereith a few pet tarantula's who can't wait to meet you. For more information or tickets, click here. Tickets will also be available at the door at 6:00pm.

On November 6th, it's Lindsay Lohan's grisly thriller I KNOW WHO KILLED ME which was shot in down San Luis Obispo, at SLO High, and in Morro Bay. It was also voted 2007's Worst Movie of the Year and in fact "won" 8 Razzie Awards. A lot of community members got to be a part of this flick, though so you may see some familiar faces. Tickets are on sale now for $10, $5 for students. Click here for info/tickets.

And this just in: Three of the stars of LITTLE GIANTS will be in attendance at the December 7th screening in Arroyo Grande! Come and meet Shawna Waldron (Becky "Icebox" O'Shea), Todd Bosley (Jake Berman) and Marcus Toji (Marcus) at the Fair Oaks Theatre at the noon screening of this great 1994 family favorite. This was shot in Arroyo Grande. (I even shot a story when it was filmed there!) Tickets are available now. Click here for those or more info.
