A frost advisory remains in effect from 1 am to 9 am Saturday and a freeze watch has already been posted for Saturday night through Sunday morning.

Temperatures falling to between 29 and 31 degrees early Saturday morning and possibly to between 24 and 28 degrees late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Sub-freezing temperatures can cause significant damage to unprotected plants and crops.

A frost advisory means that frost is imminent. Take protective measures now to minimize risks to outdoor plants and animals.

A freeze watch means that temperatures may drop to 28 degrees or lower for at least two consecutive hours. Take protective measures now to minimize risks to outdoor plants and animals.

It is noteworthy that interior valley lows will be in the low 20s for this time period, well below normal, and even though no advisories are posted for the interior valleys the same precautions are advised.
