For the second time in three years, the San Francisco Giants Trophy Tour will make a stop on the Central Coast. Back in 2011, thousands of Giants fans posed with the World Series Trophy in downtown San Luis Obispo. As we previously reported, fans will get three opportunities on the Central Coast to show off their pride and pose with the cherished hardware in February.
The Giants have announced final locations and times of their stops in Lompoc and Paso Robles.
The first stop is in Lompoc on Wednesday, February 13. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fans can take pictures with the trophy at the Dick De Wees Community Center on 1120 West Ocean Avenue in Lompoc.
On Valentine's Day, the trophy tour will stop in downtown San Luis Obispo at Farmers' Market. Organizers with the SLO Downtown Association said the trophy would be on display on the 600 block of Higuera Street near F. McLintocks Restaurant during Farmers' Market.
Friday, February 15th, the trophy tour will head north to Paso Robles. From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the trophy will be at the Historic Downtown Gazebo in the City Park, which is located on Spring and 11th Streets.
The Giants swept the Detroit Tigers last fall to capture their second World Championship in the last three years.
