Sheriff's Office looking for wanted fugitive

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man wanted for felony and misdemeanor warrants stemming from possession of firearms and resisting arrest.

Officials say deputies tried to arrest Marc Steele, 37, on December 14 in the 9900 block of West Front Street in Atascadero, but Steele drove off after ramming a Sheriff's K-9 unit.

Steele is 5'9", approximately 150 pounds, with short brown hair and green eyes.

Detectives say he was last seen driving a silver, 1993 Lexus four-door sedan with a California license plate of 3CDL038. The vehicle has unknown damage.

Detectives consider him to be armed and dangerous.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Steele's arrest.
