Short, intense workouts can help prevent weight gain

New research suggests even short bursts of intense exercise can help you lose weight.

Fewer than five percent of americans complete the recommended 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise a week. A University of Utah study found that high intensity activity was linked to a lower risk of obesity. Researchers say they learned that for preventing weight gain, the intensity of the exercise matter more than the duration.
