SLO Blues soar to #5 in national rankings

The San Luis Obispo Blues are now the 5th ranked summer collegiate baseball team in the nation. Perfect Game released its second poll of the summer on Monday.

The Blues, who are off to a 20-5 start, climbed three spots in the last week after going 4-1 last week. It marks the highest the Blues have been ranked in the last few years.

The Blues are the highest ranked team in California.

The Santa Barbara Foresters dropped out entirely of the latest poll. The Foresters were ranked 20th last week. The two-time defending NBC World Series champions are off to a 14-6 start this season.

The Blues play at Santa Paula Monday night in a California Collegiate League game. They play at Santa Barbara on Tuesday before hosting the Foresters on Wednesday.
