San Luis Obispo may soon be getting another downtown hotel.
According to the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, a new hotel designed by Garcia Architecture and Design is set to be built on Monterey Street behind Pappy McGregor's. The application for the four-story, 102 room hotel was submitted and will next be evaluated by the Architectural Review Commission later this summer.
The Chamber says it would be the city's 39th hotel. The 60,000 square foot hotel will reside on what is currently the lower parking lot next to the creek behind Pappy McGregor's.
