Small housing complex catches fire in Los Alamos

Four families woke up Wednesday morning without a place to call home.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department was called out to the 500 block of Main Street in Los Alamos Tuesday night. A small housing complex caught fire, starting in the main house and then spreading to nearby units. Two units are total losses.

Two others have moderate damage, firefighters say.

No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Red Cross is helping the families who were displaced.
