People trying to quit smoking can now have help from Nicotine patches and gum longer than previously recommended.
The Food and Drug Administration is allowing Manufacturers to change the label of Nicotine replacement products. Now users can smoke while using the products and can use them for longer than the recommended twelve weeks, as long as they are under a doctor's care.
Experts say the limits placed on Nicotine products were barriers to people being able to successfully quit.
