St. Joe outlasts Pioneer Valley to take control of Pac-7

Senior Tatiana Dunlap scored 35 points as the St. Joseph girls beat Pioneer Valley 58-49. The win at Pioneer Valley High School was the Knights second over the Panthers this season. St. Joseph improves to 9-0 in the Pac-7, second place Pioneer Valley drops to 8-2.

The Knights were up 28-19 at the half, the Panthers pulled to within three points with four minutes left. Dunlap had an answer to every Pioneer Valley run. The Knights leading scorer stepped her game up in the absence of second leading scorer Kaitlyn Flowers. The junior missed her second straight game after tearing her ACL last week. She will miss the remainder of the season.

St. Joseph will host Atascadero on Monday. Pioneer Valley is off until next Friday when the Panthers finish the regular season at Atascadero.
