ESCONDIDO, Calif. (AP) - Kaylee Wicka is Ferris Bueller's worst nightmare.
Unlike the 1980s movie teen who always found a good reason to take a day off, Wicka, a San Diego County 17-year-old, went 13 years - from kindergarten through high school - without missing a day.
U-T San Diego reports Tuesday that Wicka, who played three sports and was named the school's Female Athlete of the Year, says she's just "remarkably healthy."
Escondido High School's attendance office says every year four or five seniors graduate with perfect attendance, but no streak there has ever stretched back to kindergarten.
She's headed to college at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she'll play basketball.
The school planned to honor her at its May awards banquet, but Wicka had a scheduling conflict. She was absent.
