Study finds parents have impact on a child's health before conception

Parents' influence on their child's health may begin before conception.

Australian scientists found parental age, diet, obesity, smoking, and other factors affect environmental signals transmitted into the embryo.

These behaviors can increase a child's risk of metabolic problems, heart disease, anxiety, and diabetes before they're even born.

Experts say making positive lifestyle changes in the months leading up to conception could have long lasting benefits for your child.
