Super sophomores lead Greyhounds to 66-42 playoff win

Four Greyhounds scored 10 or more points in the Atascadero girls basketball team's 66-42 win over Bellflower in the first round of the Division 3AAA CIF playoffs on Thursday.
Atascadero improved to 17-11 on the season.
Sophomore Sabrina Degnan led the Hounds with 16 points. Fellow sophomore Maddie Leong added 14, junior Camille LeBlanc poured in 10 and Bridget Van Beek finished with 11.
The 7th seeded Hounds travel to Jarupa Hills for a second round game on Saturday. Jarupa Hills upset 10th seeded Northwood in the first round 62-45.
This marks eight-straight year Atascadero has advanced to at least the second round. The Hounds lost in the semifinals last year and in the quarterfinals in 2010 and 2011.
