Tonight, low clouds and low end advisory level winds, across the southern portions of Santa Barbara County, are expected. High pressure continues to build this week bringing warm weather. Light to moderate offshore winds are expected by Tuesday and will continue through the week. Otherwise there is a good chance there will be strong winds on and off this week. Temperatures will peak on Wednesday; they will be above normal and are forecasted to be just shy of record highs. Then, onshore winds will return by Friday. Over the weekend, temperatures will begin to return to normal. The hot temperatures, single digit humidity levels and gusty winds this week will elevate the risk for fire. However, fuel moisture levels have risen above normal across many areas mitigating the risk for fire.
