The San Francisco 49ers are heading to the Super Bowl for the first time in 18 years. They'll face off against the Baltimore Ravens in New Orleans.
So how much are fans willing to pay for a Super Bowl ticket?
The least expensive ticket KSBY could find was $2,050 on Stub Hub. The seat is in the nose bleed section. For a top notch view, a fan would have to shell out $27, 600 for a pair of tickets, and if someone wants to go big, there's a 32-seat suite that goes for $420,000.
Some diehard Central Coast fans said the game is worth the price tag.
"The stories that you would get from that weekend and going to the Super Bowl would be priceless," said Chris Bet, a San Francisco native, who is now a student at Cal Poly.
While others said it's something they can only dream about.
"No way! I don't feel that passionately about football. I can watch it from the comfort of my home with all the commercials," said Mikayla Glaum, a Santa Cruz native, who is also a student at Cal Poly.
Fans said this will be one of the best games because of the coaches Jim Harbaugh of the 49ers versus the Ravens' John Harbaugh -- they're brothers.
"It's so much more than just a game, it's an experience, a weekend," said Brian De Los Santos, Editor and Chief of Cal Poly's Mustang Daily. "And then there's Ray Lewis, who has spent his football career playing for the Baltimore Ravens, he will end his career playing in Super Bowl 47."
A quick search online and you can find tickets for sale on Ticket Master or secondary sites like Stub Hub.
Normally the Superdome, where the game will be played on February 3, 2013, holds a little more than 72,000 people.
