A trick play by Templeton High football garners the second-installment of Friday Night Highlight Play of the Week.
The Eagles went with a trick play on their opening drive in their 17-13 win over visiting Pioneer Valley last Friday.
Quarterback Alex Elterman handed the ball off to running back Chris Romero, who then pitched it to wide receiver Andrew Garrettson. The former quarterback, who's playing wide receiver this season, then threw it up field to a wide open Tobey Isbell for a 56 yard touchdown to put the Eagles on the board.
The play is similar to what worked in the Eagles' win over South in the second round of the CIF playoffs last fall.
