After getting skipped over entirely last season, the Cal Poly football team will be featured in a pair of Root Sports telecasts this fall. DirecTV Sports Networks announced its ten game Big Sky Conference television package for the 2013 season on Thursday.
The Mustangs, who are the defending conference tri-champions, will be featured in their Big Sky opener at Portland State. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 28, re-scheduled for Friday, September 27. But now the game will take place on Thursday, September 26 at 7 p.m.
Cal Poly's other game to be aired by Root Sports will be on the Saturday, November 16 game in Spanos Stadium against Eastern Washington.Kick off for that game will be announced at a later date.
Both games will be available in the Root Sports Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions. DirecTV and Dish Network customers will also be able to view the games.
Cal Poly is coming off a 9-3 season in 2012 and 7-1 mark in conference during its first year as a member of the Big Sky.
The Mustangs opened spring drills last week and play their annual spring game on Saturday, May 4 at 1pm.
