UPDATE: "Blade Runner" arrested after girlfriend shot and killed

PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) - Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius has been charged with murder after his girlfriend was shot dead today at his home in South Africa.
Pistorius is the sprinter and double-amputee known as "Blade Runner." Police say the woman killed was 29-year-old model Reeva Steenkamp.
South African media are reporting that Steenkamp may have been trying to surprise Pistorius for Valentine's Day and he thought it was an intruder.
Hours before the shooting Steenkamp tweeted about her excitement about Valentine's Day.
