Santa Barbara County Fire crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash off of Highway 101 just south of Woodchopper Hill in Santa Barbara County Thursday morning.

Two people were traveling northbound on Highway 101 when their vehicle flipped. The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for major injuries. The passenger in the car walked away with only minor scrapes and bruises.

The California Highway Patrol closed down the southbound lanes for about 20 minutes in order to airlift the victim to the hospital. One lane of northbound Highway 101 was closed for about two hours and was expected to reopen by 11:30 a.m.
