Update: Structure fire quickly knocked down in Isla Vista

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department received a report of a structure fire in the 6600 block of Abrego Road in Isla Vista.
Crews arrived on scene of a 3 story residential apartment complex. The fire was burning in an apartment on the third floor. Crews were able to contain the fire to the living room and quickly controlled it by 1:35pm.
There were 5 residents who lived in the apartment but no one was home at the time of the fire. The apartment building did not have a functioning alarm system. No one was believed to be hurt.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
