A man who has been on the run since a Dec. 14 incident in Atascadero is now behind bars.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says Marc Steele, 37, willingly turned himself in to staff at the San Luis Obispo County Jail Friday night.

He was wanted after deputies say he rammed a Sheriff's K-9 unit and drove away after they attempted to arrest him in the 9900 block of West Front St. in Atascadero on Dec. 14.

Steele is in custody on a "no-hold" bail warrant for felon in possession of a firearm, and other warrants.

The Dec. 14 incident is still under investigation.
