Verdict reached in second phase of Shumey trial

A verdict has been reached in the second phase of the trial for Christopher Shumey. It is expected to be read in court shortly.
Jurors are deciding if Shumey was insane when he murdered his mother in 2011. He was found guilty of second-degree murder earlier this month.
Deliberations in this latest phase began earlier Thursday.
