Volunteers needed to conduct surveys on homelessness

Two groups on the Central Coast are teaming up to find out how many people are living on the streets.

Common Ground Santa Barbara County and the Central Coast Collaborative on Homelessness (C3H) need five hundred volunteers to conduct a homeless survey in Santa Barbara County on January 22 and 23.

The survey will help homeless people receive life-saving resources.

No experience is needed, but volunteers must attend a training session this week.

There are two training sessions today in Santa Maria at the Church for Life on Skyway Drive.

Other trainings are tomorrow in Lompoc and Saturday in Santa Barbara.
