Webb signs with San Francisco Giants

MLB.com's Jim Callis has reported that Cal Poly recruit and San Francisco Giants draft pick Logan Webb has decided to sign on to play professional ball.

Webb, a 4th round selection by the club in this past season's MLB draft, agreed to a reported six-hundred thousand dollar signing bonus, well above the slot value assigned by Major League Baseball.

The Rocklin High School product told KSBY last week he was 'up in the air' as to whether he'd sign a professional deal or play college ball at Cal Poly.

Cal Poly junior Zack Zehner, a 7th round selection by the Toronto Bluejays, remains unsigned.
