Matt Willkomm scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Arroyo Grande High boys basketball team to a 45-35 win over rival San Luis Obispo on Friday.
The Eagles improved to 2-3 in Pac 7 League play and 13-6 overall. The Tigers dropped their third-straight league game and fell to 1-3 in league.
Willkomm hit two 3-pointers for the Eagles. Andrew Midyett added 6 points for AG, while DeSean Scott, Brennan Rivera and Cobe Williams added 5 points each.
David Thoreson and Carlson Schwoerer led the Tigers with 11 points apiece.
The Tigers led 10-9 after the first quarter, but the Eagles took the lead for good in the second quarter and led 23-20 at the half. AG outscored the Tigers 14-8 in the fourth to seal the victory.
AG returns to action Wednesday against Paso Robles, while San Luis Obispo battles St. Joseph.
