Matt Willkomm celebrated Senior Night with a dazzling performance in Arroyo Grande High's 57-34 win over rival San Luis Obispo on Monday night. The Eagles improved to 6-5 in Pac 7 League play and 17-8 overall. San Luis Obispo dropped to 3-7 in league and 8-15 on the season.
Willkomm hit four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 23 points. He scored 20 of those points in the first half to help AG take a 29-12 lead into halftime. Willkomm, who is one of five seniors on the team, dished out 4 assists. Fellow seniors DeSean Scott tallied 4 points and 5 rebounds and Brennan Rivera added 8 points, 4 assists and 3 assists. Cobe Williams added 8 points for AG.
Marly Stallings led the Tigers with 9 points. Curtis Schilling and Kwab Farkye had 6 points each.
Arroyo Grande ends league play on Wednesday at Paso Robles. The Tigers host St. Joseph before closing out the season at home Friday against Righetti.
