Josh Wilson-Murry scored a game-high 30 points in his season debut to lead the Paso Robles boys basketball team to a 59-52 win over previously undefeated Roseville to open Atascadero High's 48th annual Christmas Tournament on Thursday.
The Bearcats improve to 3-7 on the season, while Roseville dropped to 13-1.
Wilson-Murry hit three 3-pointers to score Paso's first nine points of the game. The junior guard finished with 8 buckets from long-range in the game, including one in the final minute to clinch the victory. The junior missed the Bearcats' first nine games of the season, but returned with a vengeance.
Rudy Binkele and Jaylon Davis had 12 points apiece for the Bearcats.
Paso Robles led 22-21 at the half and fell behind 24-22 early in the third quarter.The game was tied 32-32 in the third quarter when Binkele hit two free throws and a bucket, while Wilson-Murry added another bucket to give the Beacats a 40-36 lead to open the fourth quarter.
Paso Robles returns to action at 5:15pm Friday at Atascadero High. The tournament runs through Saturday.
