A weather system passing through northern and Central California this morning will generate gusty west to northwest winds across the region into early Wednesday. The strongest winds will be along the Central Coast in SLO county and southern Santa Barbara county.
A wind advisory remains in effect until 9 pm this evening.
Northwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph later this morning and continue through early evening. The strongest winds will occur at the beaches.
Gusty winds will make driving difficult especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.
When driving use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty cross winds.
