Wine and Music Fest raises funds for new charter school

A Wine and Music Fest was held Saturday to raise funds for the Almond Acres Charter Academy.

The event kicked off at noon and ran until 7 p.m. It was held at the Mondo Cellars in Paso Robles.

Five local artists performed throughout the day. There was also wine tasting, food, vendor booths, and a raffle.

Almond Acres Charter Academy in San Miguel has been running for a year.

"We're hoping to raise a couple thousand dollars to help us with our technology programs in our school. We're trying to get a one to one ratio in technology, and this would benefit that quite a bit," said Bob Bourgoult, the Executive Director of the Academy.
