Connor Woolpert and Quinten Adlesh combined for 55 points, including 41 in the first half, in Mission Prep's 82-63 win over Paso Robles on Thursday. The game opened the 40th annual Taro Kobara Tournament hosted by Arroyo Grande High School.
The Royals took a 50-30 lead into halftime after Woolpert drained his sixth 3-point shot in the first half at the buzzer. Woolpert scored 23 of his 33 points in the first half. He also pulled down 10 rebounds for Mission.
Adlesh hit 4 threes in the first half and scored 18 points in the first half on his way to 22 points.
The Royals improved to 2-0 on the season.
Mission, which is playing in Pool A, returns to action on Friday at 8pm against host Arroyo Grande. The Royals play Hoover on Saturday at 1:30pm before bracket play begins in the early evening.
