    San Francisco selected to host Super Bowl 50 in 2016

    The San Francisco Bay Area was awarded hosting rights to Super Bowl L in 2016, while Houston will host Super Bowl LI in 2017. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement in Boston on Tuesday.

    NFL owners were deciding between San Francisco and Miami for the 50th Super Bowl.

    Cal Poly basketball to open season at University of Arizona
